On the 11th of October the Hindu Forum of Europe organized a Diwali Reception and Dinner at the European Parliament. MEP Geoffrey Van Orden who is the President of the EU-India Delegation hosted the event. The Indian Embassy and its new Ambassador to the EU Gaitri Kumar also supported it. Rath Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath.
The pictures show the happy and Bhakti-filled atmosphere of the gathering which had little children also participating with enthusiasm. There was dance, chanting, and music in honor of Lord Jagannath and the Hindu community of Sweden displayed love for the Lord.
