A historic and extremely well-attended event was organised by Hindu Forum of Europe and Golden Tours Foundation to celebrate Diwali in the European Parliament on November 9, 2016.

Munich shooting: Manhunt after deadly attack at shopping centre. HFE condemns this attack.

German police are engaged in a huge anti-terror manhunt in the city of Munich after nine people died in a shooting at a shopping centre.

Police are investigating whether one of the bodies is that of a perpetrator. At least 10 people have been wounded.

Three armed attackers were earlier reported to be on the run. Police urged people to avoid public places.

Public transport shut for several hours after the attack at the Olympia centre in the north-western Moosach district.

Hindus at the ECRL

10-14 May, The European Council of Religious Leaders met in Brixen in
Italy. Two Hindus were present at the ECRL, Bharti Tailor and Madhupati
Das-who was there as proxy for Sivaram Swami. Madhupati Das gave a
presentation about the situation in Hungary and the part ISKCON Hungary has
and is playing in supporting migrants. His slides are attached.

For the recent visit to Brussels by the Prime Minister of India, the Honourable Shri Narendra Modi, we negotiated with the Indian Embassy in Belgium to meet with the Prime Minister and air issues faced by Hindus in Belgium and Europe. As many families of all religions and none face the death and disability
created in the Brussels explosion news is coming through of Hindus who were

Monday 16 November the Hindu Forum Europe (HFE) celebrated Diwali for the first time in the EU Parliament, Brussels. Host MEP, Neena Gill congratulated Hindus with this big success. The Ambassador of India, Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, and the Ambassador of Mauritius, Mr. J. Koonjul, lit symbolically a dipa in the presence of other MEPs and staff of the Parliament.
