10-14 May, The European Council of Religious Leaders met in Brixen in
Italy. Two Hindus were present at the ECRL, Bharti Tailor and Madhupati
Das-who was there as proxy for Sivaram Swami. Madhupati Das gave a
presentation about the situation in Hungary and the part ISKCON Hungary has
and is playing in supporting migrants. His slides are attached.

On the 11th of May 2016, the Hindu Forum of Belgium met with Meyrem Almaci, the chairwomen of the Flemish Green Party. Meyrem Almaci was accompanied by Gijs Ory, a policy adviser for the Green Party. Volunteer Markus Fobelets was the representative on behalf of the Hindu Forum of Belgium.

For the recent visit to Brussels by the Prime Minister of India, the Honourable Shri Narendra Modi, we negotiated with the Indian Embassy in Belgium to meet with the Prime Minister and air issues faced by Hindus in Belgium and Europe. This we felt appropriate as over 50% of the Hindus in Europe are either Non Resident Indians (NRIs) or People of Indian Origin (PIOs).

As many families of all religions and none face the death and disability
created in the Brussels explosion news is coming through of Hindus who were
caught in the mayhem. So far one Hindu has been identified as having died
in the Brussels attack and one was found injured and is safe. May their
families find the strength to cope.
The Hindu Forum of Europe and the Hindu Forum of Belgium express deep sorrow for the loss of life and our prayers for the speedy recovery of the victims of violent attacks in Brussels earlier today. Although we should point out the temple in Bangladesh was not attacked because it was ISKCON but because it is Hindu and in Bangladesh all Hindus are at risk. Monday 16 November the Hindu Forum Europe (HFE) celebrated Diwali for the first time in the EU Parliament, Brussels. Host MEP, Neena Gill congratulated Hindus with this big success. The Ambassador of India, Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, and the Ambassador of Mauritius, Mr. J. Koonjul, lit symbolically a dipa in the presence of other MEPs and staff of the Parliament.
