Diwali at the European Parliament 2017

On the 11th of October the Hindu Forum of Europe organized a Diwali Reception and Dinner at the European Parliament. MEP Geoffrey Van Orden who is the President of the EU-India Delegation hosted the event. The Indian Embassy and its new Ambassador to the EU Gaitri Kumar also supported it. Golden Tours Foundation from the UK sponsored the event. About 200 MEP’s, NGOs, Religious Leaders, Ambassadors and Hindu Leaders participated in the event. 1st Diwali Celebration in the EU Parliament

Monday 16 November the Hindu Forum Europe (HFE) celebrated Diwali for the first time in the EU Parliament, Brussels. Host MEP, Neena Gill congratulated Hindus with this big success. The Ambassador of India, Mr. Manjeev Singh Puri, and the Ambassador of Mauritius, Mr. J. Koonjul, lit symbolically a dipa in the presence of other MEPs and staff of the Parliament.
