Dr Lakshmi Vyas attended a discussion on the Future of Europe between EU officials and the partners of the Commission’s Dialogue with churches, religious, philosophical and non-confessional organisations. The meeting was held on Friday 7th July at Barlaymont Building(European Commission) from 2.30 to 6.00 pm.

Marie Mandakini Spennare of Hindu Forum Sweden shared some pictures of this year’s Rath Yatra that took place in Stockholm Sweden on July 8th.
Rath Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath.
The pictures show the happy and Bhakti-filled atmosphere of the gathering which had little children also participating with enthusiasm. There was dance, chanting, and music in honor of Lord Jagannath and the Hindu community of Sweden displayed love for the Lord.

HFE President Lakshmi and Mahaprabhu went to the event organised by the Radha Krishna Temple in honour of Prime Minister of India Modi and Prime Minister of Portugal Costa. They had a chance to be in the group of dignitaries that listened to the Speech of PM Modi and later had a chance to take a photo with him and the leaders of the Radha Krishna Temple.
Several members of the Hindu Forum of Europe met with leaders of the Hindu Community of Portugal on 23nd of June 2017 at a hall offered by the City of Lisbon. German police are engaged in a huge anti-terror manhunt in the city of Munich after nine people died in a shooting at a shopping centre.
Police are investigating whether one of the bodies is that of a perpetrator. At least 10 people have been wounded.
